At the end of March, T-Mobile announced that it will be shutting down its TVision streaming service. To help customers continue streaming, the company has partnered with YouTube TV and Philo, giving T-Mobile customers exclusive offers to try the services out and subscribe with discounted prices. Those exclusive offers are active starting today and can be redeemed through the end of June.
These deals are for all postpaid wireless T-Mobile subscribers and Sprint customers, with extra benefits for former TVision customers.
T-Mobile and YouTube TV
T-Mobile and Sprint customers can take $10 off of a YouTube TV subscription. YouTube TV normally costs $64.99/month, bringing the price down to $54.99/month. All T-Mobile postpaid wireless and Sprint consumer customers are eligible for the discount for one year with a standard free trial, but former TVision customers can enjoy an extended one month free trial before getting the discount.
While T-Mobile says customers can continue getting the discount for as long as they remain T-Mobile customers, there is fine print from YouTube TV saying the price will go back up after 12 months, and from T-Mobile saying “users may need to take action to continue the $10/mo discount” after 12 months.
How to sign up: Start on the TVision website. If you already have a subscription to YouTube TV, you’ll have to cancel your subscription and re-subscribe with a code T-Mobile will send you. Follow the link sent to you via email or your T-Mobile account and sign up for your subscription. You’ll get the lower rate for one year, as long as you remain a T-Mobile customer. After that year, your subscription will automatically continue at the normal YouTube TV monthly cost and your monthly subscription fee will be added to your T-Mobile bill.
T-Mobile and Philo
T-Mobile and Sprint customers can also take $10 off of a Philo subscription. That’s 50% off the price of a subscription. With the deal, customers will have access to Philo’s 60+ channels, unlimited DVR, and more than 60K on-demand options for just $10. The deal includes a 7 day free trial for all eligible customers and $10 off each month for one year. The deal is even better for former VIBE customers who will receive a month of Philo for free before getting the discounted price for as long as they remain T-Mobile customers.
How to sign up: While YouTube TV is now featured on the TVision website, Philo is not (yet). T-Mobile directs customers to log in to their MyTMobile account for more information.
