Netflix is Reportedly Developing an Online Space Called ‘N-Plus” for Podcasts and More

Apparently, Netflix is exploring the idea of expanding its digital footprint into other sectors. The streamer sent out a survey to some users gauging interest in a “future online space where you can learn more about the Netflix shows and things related to them.” And like every new platform these days, the name will include the word “plus.”

N-Plus will be a multifaceted space with features like a place for Netflix users to create playlists of their favorite shows and potentially share with friends. There could also be a playlist feature for organizing Netflix’s soundtracks into lists so you can listen to tunes from your favorite shows. It would also reportedly house behind-the-scenes interviews, trailers, podcasts, and more for its originals, similar to what the company uses its YouTube channel for.

Another question on the survey asked how people would feel if N-Plus had a way to “learn about a planned show (pre-production) and influence its development with feedback before filming has finished.” It sounds like this would be a show development area to brainstorm and pull in outside feedback, which sounds pretty cool. It is also reportedly considering allowing users to submit TV show reviews.

A Netflix spokesperson told Protocol that the survey was sent out just to collect user input, and that Netflix doesn’t have anything more to share right now.
