‘In The Heights,’ ‘Harry Potter,’ and More Coming to HBO Max in June 2021

There’s a lot going on over at HBO Max in June. Once you’ve calmed down after the Friends Reunion from May, it’s time to get back to your regularly scheduled programming, aka catching up on new originals and screening the latest WarnerBros releases right from your living room.

This month we’re getting two same day as theater streaming premieres, the first on June 4 with the latest installment of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, which promises to be no less terrifying than any of its counterparts. The good news about watching it at home instead of the theater is that you can scream into your blanket and no one will judge you.

Also up on the premiere list is In The Heights, a musical drama based on the stage musical by Lin Manuel Miranda. It looks high energy, magnetic, and vibrant, just what we need to start off the summer.

HBO Max is also getting every Harry Potter film just ahead of the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Later this year, the company is planning a five-night unscripted event featuring a Harry Potter fan quiz competition series and a dedicated retrospective special on HBO Max, Cartoon Network, and TBS.
