HBO Max has just launched a new feature to help users personalize their profiles. Subscribers can now upload their own photo or choose from an avatar collection with over 120 character images to use as their profile image.
“With the launch of customizable profile images and character avatars, we’re delivering on our promise of a bespoke experience that is tailored to each user, empowering their individual tastes and preferences,” said Sarah Lyons, Executive Vice President, Direct-to-Consumer Global Product Management. “This is a key step toward our vision of providing users with a platform where they can build an identity that connects them to the content they love most.”
To use the feature, upload a picture on a supported tablet or mobile device, or choose an image from the library. The library has images of fan favorite characters from HBO Max shows like Game of Thrones, Lovecraft Country, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and many more. There are also kid friendly options like Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, and Sesame Street. The image you choose will become your profile picture across all supported platforms.
The new feature launches today and will roll out to all devices by March 26.
