Today, Amazon unveiled a new lineup of 4K Fire TV models from Toshiba that sport thinner bezels than previous models and additional onboard memory for storing more apps. The new C350 series ranges from 43 inches all the way up to a sizable 75-incher — although you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for those larger screen sizes.
Amazon announced the new line of Fire TV models via a blog post published today, where it touted features like live view picture-in-picture (for, say, checking out your doorbell camera while still watching the game). There’s also support for device control through your voice thanks to the Voice Remote with Alexa. In all, the C350 lineup boasts 4K resolution, Toshiba’s Regza Engine 4K, support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and DTS Virtual: X audio processing.
Additional specs courtesy of Best Buy’s product pages indicate we’re dealing with LCD-based TVs sporting 4 HDMI ports, a pair of USB connections, and a refresh rate of up to 60Hz.
First out of the gate are the 43- and 50-inch models, which are available for pre-order now and expected to ship sometime in “mid-May.” For what it’s worth, Best Buy’s product pages currently show a ship date of May 13th. Amazon says 55-, 65-, and 75-inch models are slated to arrive later this year.
If you’re interested, you can check out Toshiba’s C350 Fire TV line in-person at a local Best Buy. The 43- and 50-inch models are currently available for preorder at both Best Buy and Amazon:
