If you are operating an Internet Marketing business, then you need to create content on regular basis. Almost all successful online marketers know that and they create a variety of content on their various platforms (such as their official blog, Facebook or other social networks). People use the Internet to find information about topics they love, have issues with and all points in between! If you are interested in movies and gossip, there are websites that provide up-to-date information related to those topics. If the website stops updating their content, visitors to that website will stop visiting and the website dies. People want fresh content. If you, as the marketer, are not providing the information people are looking for on a consistent basis – somebody else will!
Find out what customers in your niche want – then give it to them.
You need to search and find out what the customers in your niche want. If you have been in the Internet Marketing field for any length of time, you should have an idea of who your ideal customer is and what aspect of your business they are interested in learning about. You need to start working on your image of being an “expert” in your niche. People like to work with experts.
You need to create a portfolio for that ideal customer. Learn what the customer likes and what he/she dislikes. You need to search your competitor’s websites to know what they are providing for their customers. Do deep research and learn where the content in your niche originates. Find ways to be the first content creator in order to obtain and release fresh content to the online world. This will automatically elevate your traffic and help build your image as an expert in your niche! Once you know what is hot in your niche, you should be able to make content that your customers will want to access. In the long run, you might even be able to influence your customer’s choices and tastes.
Stay Unique. Last Long
You need to provide something extra to your customers. Do not offer the same information others are offering. Provide new, exciting ways of looking at information so that visitors will find your website unique. For some marketers, it’s their unique voice and the way they present their content. For others, it is how they organize content into easy to navigate menu’s. You need to work on a style that is unique to you! It must be “your” style.
People love to gather information and be entertained along the way. The news on TV channels today presents the daily news in such a way. The news on different channels is all the same news, but it’s about how the news is presented that makes the each channel unique. Some people relate to different news anchors based upon many factors – but the news is still the same!
Find out what people in your niche are looking for and “be yourself” in delivering the content. Don’t try to copy what someone else is doing, but at the same time, take note of “how they are doing it!” It works for a reason. Find out what the reason is and incorporate it into how you deliver your content.
Content Presentation
What I just talked about above leads directly into “Content Presentation.” Learn how to present your content in a new and refreshing way. For some marketers, blog posts will do the trick. Some marketers produce videos for their subscribers. People today have many choices of different mediums to learn about a particular topic. You need to know which type of medium your customers prefer.
Research which delivery method your successful competitors in your niche are using. If they are successful with video marketing, perhaps you should look into doing so as well. But be warned, sometimes the people who subscribe to your competitors videos may like “their voice and their way of presentation” and content ranks second. So you must do your research in this area.
If you prefer to write then you can go with that. However you can create a video from the same content using animations and upload it on YouTube. Or simply create a Power Point presentation of the information and “record your voice” over the Power Point!
If you are putting a lot of effort into researching information and creating content, then you should definitely convert the information into different mediums to reach more potential customers. Many people prefer to watch videos or listen to a podcast instead of reading a 1000 word article. You can make your content presentation more exciting by using info graphics and short videos inside of your article page. First and foremost, the information presented should be easy to grasp, understand and implement.
SEO
Search engines love content. Make sure you are using your main keywords inside of your articles. Keyword optimization may not be an issue in the long run, but it is important “in the moment.” Focus on interaction with the readers who are consuming the content. Encourage comments on your blog or Face Book page. Encourage people to email you directly with their questions. Then provide the answers to the questions left by your readers in the comments or emails. You can possibly turn their questions into further training (and you know these are the questions being asked “in the moment!” This may just put you ahead of your competition and establish you as an “expert” in your niche!
In the absolute least – it will make Google “Love You!”
