3 Key Mistakes to Avoid When Video Marketing

Video marketing is a fantastic way to drive traffic to your sites, build relationships, and extremely make more sales. But, you need to make sure that you avoid many things when it comes down to it.

It is not as cut and dry as everyone makes it out to be. Once you understand the fundamentals is a very easy concept and can really help your business.

So, in today's article I want to talk about three mistakes you need to avoid when it comes to Video marketing.

1. Talking about Nothing

One of the biggest things I struggled with when it came to making videos is talking about nothing. I would have a point to make, but I would begin to babble on about nothing at all.

This is very common, because you get very nervous in front of a camera. So, in order to combat that you just begin to talk about nothing at all. So, you end up going on rabbit holes and not getting the point made that you are trying to make.

So, you want to try to avoid this.

2. Batting Your Eyes like Crazy

This might sound crazy, but it is very common. People get in front of the camera and start batting their eyes like a mad person. I know, because I used to do it.

But, as you start to use video more and more you get very comfortable with making them. So, just be conscious of the way you are batting your eyes, and try not to do it obsessively.

3. Forgetting to Mention Your Website

I've seen some awesome videos online, and I wanted to go and get more information. But, the person that was making it never stated their website address. So, it was absolutely pointless. Now, I am interested but I can not get your website.

So, make sure you mention your website at least three times. Once in the beginning, once in the middle, and once at the end. Make sure the one at the end has a call to action.

Also, make sure that you put in a lower third with your website address on it.
